OVERVIEW

Every now and then, a car comes along that reminds you why Porsche has such an untouchable reputation for building drivers’ cars. The Macan GTS is one of those cars. It takes everything people love about the Porsche brand — the precision, the feel, the engineering — and distills it into an SUV that still manages to thrill on every journey.

This particular 2017 Macan GTS is one I’ve had the pleasure of knowing personally. I’ve sold it before, I know the last two owners well, and I’ve spent time behind the wheel myself. From the very first drive, it was clear this wasn’t just another Macan — it was one that had been cared for properly, driven with respect, and presented in a way that made me proud to bring it back into The Vertex Collection.

Finished in Volcano Grey Metallic with the GTS leather/Alcantara interior package, it strikes that perfect balance between understated class and sporting intent. With 70,220 miles covered since new — averaging around 8,000 miles per year — it’s a car that has been used exactly as Porsche intended, but always maintained to the highest standard. From the way it drives to the way it looks, this is a Macan GTS that feels absolutely right.

OWNERSHIP & PROVENANCE

Supplied new by Porsche Centre Guildford in May 2017, this GTS has enjoyed a careful and well-documented life. Knowing the last two owners personally, I can say with confidence that it has always been cherished. Every time it has come back into my hands, it’s been exactly as you’d hope — clean, correct, and true to Porsche form.
